What is a zine and what is the theme of this zine?
Artificial Lovers (SFW Zine) and Artificial Sinners (the Nsfw side Zine) is a free semi-annual fanzine dedicated to the romantic relationship between Scaramouche (Wanderer) and Albedo from Genshin Impact.
The theme for the SFW zine is 'The Route To Your Heart, Road Trip'
The theme for the NSFW zine is 'Getting Lucky In Sin City'.
You can interpret these themes however you want.
What is a Zine?
A zine is short for fanzine. It can also be viewed as fan magazine. It can have fan art, fics, poems, and recipes in it. Sometimes Merch can come with it.

Is Artificial Lovers and Artificial Sinners free, for profit, or charity?
Artificial Lovers and Artificial Sinners will be a free digital download. Since these zines will be free, there will be no compensation other than a PDF of the final project.Are minors allowed to contribute?
Yes. We will be accepting people who are 16+ (in order to comply with international labor laws) for the SFW zine.
You have to be 18+ to be in the NSFW zine.Is this project digital or physical?
Digital. If anyone makes merch there may be downloadable content that can be printed or used by future readers such as wallpapers, banners, or etc.Can other ships be included?
Albedo and Scaramouche's (Wanderer's) relationship should be the main focus of your piece and any interactions with other characters should be platonic. (Talk to mod if you have a crazy idea with lots of drama! Keep in mind the main focus is the Scarabedo ship and should focus mainly on them.)What Rating is the Zine?
The core SFW zine will be PG-13 but if there is enough interest there will be a side NSFW zine that will be rated R-18.Will there be an NSFW Zine?
Yes, if we have enough people interested in reading and creating NSFW we will have a separate zine for NSFW called 'Artificial Sinners'. Only participants who are 18+ can apply for the NSFW zine.Is NSFW only smut?
No. NSFW can be something too violent or extreme for SFW zine, not only smut. Since the Scarabedo fandom has all sorts of creators I want to encompass the entire fandom. *With a few exceptions which will be listed at a later time. NSFW fics will have separated sections with tags at the beginning of works.Can I apply for more than one position or both zines?
Yes, you can apply to multiple positions and both zines. (as long as you meet the age criteria for the zines you apply for.)Are only Artists and Writers allowed to participate or can other creators join too?
I want the fandom to have a spot to enjoy art, writing, activities, and photos. The more the merrier! Cosplay photos are welcome (as long as you are 18+ and it is your cosplay). If you have any interesting add-ons that you want contained within the zine then contact me. I'll see how I can incorporate it into the zine.How many people are you accepting?
30 people max.
If one of the zines doesn't get at least 5 people by the deadline, Feb 1st, then that zine won't be made. Since this is a rarepair, I doubt we will meet max contributors.Can I collaborate with another participant?
Yes, please mention this on the zines discord if you find someone to collaborate with once accepted into the server.Will I keep the rights to my work?
Yes, whatever you submit is yours. Your personal art, fic, pictures, etc that you created are still yours to sell. All I ask is that you don't share wips or the finished work during creation time. Once the zine is released you can do what you please with your work.How will we communicate?
Communication will be through a discord server. You'll receive the link once applications are filled out and submitted.Ai Created Works?
Unfortunately, I will not accept anything that is created by ai. This includes art, written work, or funny chat gpt conversations. People work really hard in the fandom and it's disrespectful to have ai work in a zine while everyone else is working tediously on their creations.Are there any 3rd party companies involved with creating this zine?
Nope. Since this is a free digital zine that means anything that costs money would come out of my pocket. I don't need a 3rd party company to help me. I've modded both Artificial Lovers and Sinners zines myself before. This is for fun, not for some secret profit motive with a company.Are there openings for mods or mod training?
Currently, I'm not opening any mod positions, nor am I planning to train anyone. If you have questions about how to create zines, I would love to answer them or hook you up with people who have a vast knowledge of running all sorts of fandom projects.

Is this zine au or canon?
Both! Au's and canon are allowed. (Since you're interpreting these themes however you want that means it's whatever you make of them!)Who's top and bottom?
You can decide. Everyone has their own view on the Scarabedo dynamic and that's the beautiful part of the fandom!I don't have zine experience, can I still apply?
Can someone post a fanfic on ao3 with no experience as an author? Can an artist post art on social media without being renowned?
Of course, everyone is welcome as long as you are 16+ and can get your work done on time! If you need help or a beta reader then ask for help on the discord.'I don't speak English very well but I want to participate, is that okay?'
Yes, you can participate but understand that most of the discord server speaks English. We've had people from all over the world join together in the past scarabedo zine and many knew English as a 2nd and 3rd language. Some spoke it better than others but we all tried our best to communicate!Oh no! I can't do this zine right now, but I love scarabedo and want to be in a scarabedo zine!!!
I plan to make this a semi-annual zine and if you miss out on this zine then perhaps the next one will have enough interest to happen again. As long as 5 people are willing to participate in one of the zines then I'm willing to format it.Semi-annual Zine? Does that mean this zine will open for contributor's applications again?
The plan is that if enough people are interested in participating, then the zine will happen once or twice a year with different themes. Yes, it'll be small but a nice place to show off Scarabedo Nations fanwork once or twice a year in a digital booklet!Isn't that a lot of work? Two Zines a year is silly.
I've been in another zine that does the same thing. Keeping yourself accountable is important. If you don't communicate or turn in your work on time then it won't be put into the zine. It's as simple as that. This zine has a quicker creation time frame than others because it isn't as fancy as the others. It isn't there to make money or a name for yourself. It's to show off the ship we adore and love. As long as people want to come together and create fanworks for a digital booklet then I can format and publish it digitally for free online! :)
CONTRIBUTOR INFO
-Artists will be asked to create at least one A5 page art.-Writers will have to write at least one fanfiction that is between 500- 5000 words long. (Unless it is a different type of work such as poetry)-Cooks should have at least 3 photos of creating the dish and the finished product with directions for creating the food or drink.-Cosplayers should have at least 2 photos of them in cosplay and be 18+ even if they are participating in the SFW zine.-If you have a project not listed then we'll discuss what's needed to fill a few zine pages.-If you want to contribute to both zines or create more than one piece, please make sure to indicate that on the application.-Plagiarism and/or use of AI will blacklist you from this project and future projects with this zine.-Please make sure to complete the check-in form when check-in happens. If you need to drop out or need extra time please contact me on the discord server. If you don't contact me or fill out the check-in forms on time then I will assume that you have dropped out.-This is a very fast-paced zine with two check-ins before a final submission. If at any point you feel like you can't finish in time or need extra time, please let a mod know. I'm willing to work with you.
